I just finished a good book. It made me wonder what I would do in the situation that the main character was put in. I could not imagine going through what she did. I would recommend this book.
When reporter Ellen Gleeson gets a “Have You Seen This Child?” flyer in the mail, she almost throws it away. But something about it makes her look again…
The child in the photo looks exactly like Ellen’s adopted son, Will. But how could it be if the adoption was lawful? Everything inside her tells her to deny what she sees. But Ellen won’t rest until she finds out the truth. And she can’t shake the question: If Will rightfully belongs to someone else, should she keep him or give him up?
Ellen makes the wrenching decision to investigate, following a trail of clues no one was meant to uncover. And when she digs too deep, she risks losing her life—and that of the son she loves
My next book in line to read is The Husband's Secret. I have been told it is a good book and I am looking forward to starting it.
I took my first run outside in forever yesterday. After the first quarter mile my lungs were burning because of the chilly air. It took a little bit to get used to the temperature change. When the female voice came on to give me my pace at 5 minutes I was at a pace of 8:35. My first mile was under 10 minutes which felt good because I had not been out in a while.
Happy Halloween! I finally get to wear the costume I have been working on for weeks. My friend Michelle helped me make the skirt. She put the zipper in it the other day and gave me the finished skirt last night. It fits great so we did not need to do any modifications. I do have white gloves to go with the outfit, but I will get them on later.
It took me a couple minutes to find a spot to get the photo above because it looks like a tornado went through our house. When I left for work Tim was in cleaning mode. He starts cleaning and he does not stop, I cannot wait to see what he got done today when I get home.
He is the best. He likes to clean when he gets in the mood or the house is not spotless. He also is a great cook. We made pulled pork last week for dinner and we still had left overs the other day. While I was still at work Tim started dinner. He made a casserole with the pulled pork, cream of mushroom soup, mozzarella cheese, and steamed broccoli. It was delicious.
I really married the whole package :)
Last night we got home around 8 from our training and I still had to make goodies for Mason's daycare. I made these spookie brownie ghosts and a pumpkin dip for fruit and nilla wafers. I sent some apples in with the dip as well as the nilla wafers.
Tonight we will go see family and friends with Mason.
What are your plans? Do you find it easier that Halloween is on a Friday?
