Friday Mason and I headed over for a bike ride with Amanda and Michelle. Of course when we got to the meeting spot Mason was fast asleep in his car seat. Oops :/ I woke him up and he was actually in a pretty good mood.
There is this one hill on the trail that kills me every time. It is hard to get momentum because there is a bump before the hill. I have yet to make it up the hill, but I don't like really trying because I have Mason on the back. This time I just trudged up the hill and that was a good workout. I am so happy I took the chance and bought the bike seat for Mason on the garage sale site. We have fun and he seems to really enjoy it.
Mason spent the night at my cousin's Friday night and when I went to get him he looked like this...
We hung out by the pool for a while until he got cranky and it was obvious he was ready for a nap.
Saturday evening we went to a parade in Tim's home town. Mason loved the tractors and the fire trucks. This was where the carnival was that we worked the french fry booth. If I don't see another french fry for a year I will be happy. Three days of coming home smelling like a fryer makes me thankful I do not work in the food industry. I used to and I hated coming home smelling like food.
Sunday was a day of catching up at home. We mowed the lawn, changed the beds, did laundry, cleaned the house, and played in the pool.
We had our monthly meeting at the Rescue Squad as well. We usually have pizza for dinner those nights, but last night was one of the few months that I like to organize a potluck. Last night we did a summer cookout. It is so much nicer than having pizza on a hot day.
Don't forget to enter the giveaway for the box of protein bars. It ends in a couple days. Go here.
I am not sure what we have planned for tonight. I am going to try a Zucchini boat recipe tonight. I love Pinterest for recipe ideas, but man does it drive me nuts when the picture is just a picture and not a link to a recipe.
Any recipe suggestions for zucchini?
