A Stressful 5 on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG
{One}
I am working all weekend, but today is still Friday for my hubby so Happy Friday all!

We are having a little last minute family dinner night at my cousin's tomorrow night. I am making Tim's Aunt's delicious sausage casserole recipe. I will be good and only have a small amount and a large salad.

Tim & I woke up this morning Nutmeg whining in pain. We thought the cat had done something to her because they were both in the dog bed, but she whined again when she walked to her dish for breakfast. I was in the bathroom getting ready and I heard her again and I found her trying to get in my closet. That is when I noticed she was not really using her back legs.

I ended up calling Tim in a panic (he already left for work) and then I decided to come up with a plan... I called Tim's brother who works was on his way home from work and goes right by our house. He said he would take her home with him so she was closer to the vet if I could get an appointment and get a hold of my father in law.

I had to carry her down stairs because when she tried to get up when I brought her the leash she whined and went back down to sitting then laying. I am hoping I can get her in today and hopefully figure out what is wrong - I am guessing a back injury or some kind of injury back there.

What really made me tear up this morning was Mason's reaction when I brought Nutmeg downstairs. I think he tried saying her name and then he went to her when I put her down. He gave her a big hug and laid his head on her. Then he said buh-bye to her when Uncle Paul took her with him. I almost lost it right there.
She is his best friend so I really hope there is nothing seriously wrong :( Heck she is our best friend too.

I am going on a field trip today with some co-workers to go look at the new desks we are getting. A dispatch center about an hour away from us just had the same consoles installed and they are not moved in there yet. It is a great opportunity for us to see what we will be getting in a couple months.

Here is a little view of what our work consoles will look like. Lots of computer screens, that is the amount I deal with daily. Good thing I had that eye surgery. :)

Anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend? It is supposed to rain here, but the good news is it will be above freezing. I am working this weekend and there is a large bicycle race here in the county that is roughly 62 miles long. This should be interesting with the rain and the dirt roads.
