Weekly Weigh In


Today is the start of National Women's Health Week. I am going to do posts this week with healthy tips in them.  I had never heard of Women's Health Week until I was contacted by Michelle {you will meet her tomorrow when she does a guest post}.

Women's Health Week is a time for awareness for many women. It is time for women to get healthy, get active, eat well, and avoid unhealthy habits such as smoking. Women {and men} should also get regular check ups with their doctor. I was someone who never went to the doctor. When I decided it was time to lose weight I went for a physical. I go once a year now. I like seeing my progress and knowing that I am improving my health. It also gives me a motivation, I do not want my doctor asking me about my weight anymore.

Speaking of health... I have been doing really well with My Fitness Pal. I am addicted to tracking everything and making sure I have enough calories to use. I did have one day last week where I went over by 400 calories. I had a moment of weakness, but the rest of the days I try not to use the extra calories from working out.


Now time for the weigh in results....

I am happy with this number, it is a 1.2 lb loss for the week even after eating too much yesterday. I would be happier if I had made my goal for the Diet Bet competition, but I still have a little over 24 hours before the weigh in has to be submitted. {Just kidding I am not going to try to lose that much in 24 hours}

I am still doing the squat challenge everyday. I am working on getting at least my squats and a walk and/or a Jillian workout in everyday.

Goals for the week:

1. Work out everyday
2. Keep tracking & Stay on track
3. Walk 12 miles this week

The mini challenge for the 10 week goal this week is to try something new, but I am in the middle of trying something new with the squat challenge and Jillian's Shred-It with Weights. I am going to count those as my new thing.

  3. What's your user name on mfp? I'm addicted to mfp and couting calories too. I learned that its necessary to weight loss and maintenance. I had lost 20 pounds but in the course of 2 years most all of it came back. I'm working on getting rid of it again though. I'm esthernorine on mfp. Esther Norine Designs estherdavison@gmail.com

  4. Great job!!! I need motivation to track on MFP. I'll do great all day then forget to track the las thing I ate. I haven't completed more than like 4 total entries. If that haha.
