Speaking of Mason's jumperoo, he has been loving it lately. The other night he jumped until he tired himself out. He slept like that for almost an hour.
Later on that night we put him back in it and he just kept jumping. Notice the lazy sister in the background.
Yesterday morning I put Mason in a hooded sweatshirt for the first time and Oh. My. Goodness. He is adorable :)
I am not biased or anything ;)

Mason was very fussy last night, so I tried a little Orajel Nighttime on his gums thinking that he was probably teething. I was right. As I rubbed my finger on his gums I felt a tooth peeking up through in the front. After the Orajel he calmed down a little. I finally got him to fall asleep by rocking him.
This is going to be a long process. I feel so bad for him when I see tears streaming down his cheeks because I know he is in pain.
We have tried a few things:
-Fill pacifier with water and put in the freezer - he seems to love that
-Frozen teething things
-Cold wet clothes to suck on
Any other suggestions from moms out there?

the absolute BEST thing I can recommend are the teething tablets - there's something soothing in those that makes the baby able to relax - I went to an all natural store and bought mine but you can get some at wal-mart...anyways, the lady at all natural grocery store said she recommends them for new moms when they stress out because baby is crying - they simply soothe! Not sure how much they actually relieve the pain but hey...if you can just get them to calm down for a bit and get them to sleep, it helps a ton!
ReplyDeleteoh and I meant to tell you that I just found your blog from twitter but apparently I wasn't following you? I find it random when I follow ppl via twitter and somehow not their blog - eh, oh well...newest follower now!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! and LOVE that picture!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I love him! He is so adorable!!!!!! I feel like Grace has been "teething" but not teeth have popped out yet?! Lame. Sorry Mason is teething and in pain :/
ReplyDeleteOh my Gosh!!! These pictures of your little one are just too cute for words!!! I love him in the little sweater. My little girl, Madison, has four teeth coming in up top and it is the absolute worst so I feel your pain. I won't be much help because I'm basically doing the same things you are in addition to letting her chew on any and everything she desires (as long as it's safe), because I know it helps to make her gums feel better. I'm so ready for her to be done with teething, as I'm sure you are too!
