Apples & Pears - Oh My

Why did "oh my" pop in my head with that title? Is it because pears rhymes with bears? Interesting.
I wanted to share my recipe and experience making apples and pears.

Apples were pretty easy. I just peeled them and cut them into chunks. I threw them in the steamer and set the timer for 15 minutes. The booklet that came with my steamer told me how long to steam the apples. I put them in the Ninja and they were soup in no time.
Yup I did forget to take pictures of the pears and the steaming and pureeing.

I threw away the receipt so I could not see how much I saved making these two things. My cousin also has a packet full of recipes for me. Some of the recipes actually look pretty good. I am a little nervous about the meats, but I also have a stock of Gerber foods too.

Have you tried to make your own baby food before? Did the child like it?

  2. I make Grace's for the most part.. Lately it's been organic baby food already made because we have been on the go so much lately. Because our food has no preservatives it doesn'tast as long out of the fridge. You're a genuis! I didn't think to freeze them in ice cube trays, I have the baby bullet cups and they take up freezer space!
