Active Wear - Oh the Possibilities

Oh the things I could have if I had lots of money. For my walks and Zumba I just throw on a pair of old yoga pants or some athletic pants I have had for years. I try to look a little better if I am going out in public to walk or do a 5k, but if I am home who cares what I look like.
I would love to stock my workout wardrobe. I have been wanting a few items for a while now and I thought I would share them with you all.

Let's start with bras...
I will admit that I am a bigger chested girl. I noticed before I got pregnant that with the 35 pound weight loss my chest had gotten a little smaller. One of my rewards is to go to Victoria Secret and get measured for a bra and see if I have gone down in size.
I asked my mom for this bra for Christmas (I did not get it)
Moving Comfort Juno
She said she did not think I could do a bra without an under wire. I think that the reviews are great and why not give it a try?
I found this one with an under wire and I think I would like this one too.
Athleta Front Release Bra
These are expensive though, so I may have to keep asking for them for gifts. The Athleta one I think I could use my Old Navy rewards on.

Now onto shirts...
Now for shirts I usually just wear any old fire department or ems shirt I have laying around. I don't get too fancy - I sweat a lot so I don't want to ruin nice shirts.
Old Navy Go DRY
This tank may be one I buy because the price is not too bad.

Old Navy GoDRY
I like the way this tee fits - well on the model at least.
Old Navy Compression Active Tank
This is cute... the only problem? The raceback - I need to wear a bra and it might look funny in this shirt.
Old Navy Seamless V-Neck
This shirt looks a little tight for the size I am now, maybe something to look forward to in the future. It is cute though.

And we definitely need pants...

Old Navy Yoga Capris
I own these in a few different colors. I. LOVE. THEM. Old Navy yoga pants usually run short on me, but these capris are perfect. I love the fit and how they make me look (and feel). Everyone should own a pair and for $12 it is not easy to find any cons.
Athleta Placid 2 in 1 Tight
For some reason I am a big fan of the tights with the skirt over them. I wish my legs were a little smaller. Another goal to work toward - being able to wear either of these items and feel great!
Athleta Contender Skort
Last but not least - shoes...
I have been wearing New Balance for the last few years. I like how they fit and the fact that they do not make my size 11 feet look like clown feet. Nike has a tendency with some of their shoes to make my feet look huge!
The only problem I have with New Balance is that the inside of the heel part of the shoe gets worn and then the hard plastic starts to create blisters on my heel.
I have been searching for some sneakers for walking/jogging and Zumba.

Reebok Pheehan Run

Reebok ZigNano Fly 2
Courtney from Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life talks about her Reebok shoes often and I am thinking that I want to try a pair.

Anyone have any items for working out or walking that they love?

Any suggestions?

  1. I also heard the Moving Comfort line is great. You should just buy one :) I also like a lot of the activewear at Target. I used to wear regular old tshirts all the time, but they just felt really heavy and restricting when I got sweaty. Now I mostly wear drifit or moisture-wicking shirts like the one from Old Navy that you posted. If I run outside in the summer, I wear the compression tanks like the one you posted; they are great because they suck everything in and don't ride up!

    1. Thanks for the advice! I buy shorts from Target all the time - their shirts make me feel huge because I think they are run small, but I will give them a shot.

  2. This post really makes me want to go workout clothes shopping! I am trying to make what I have work until I make a little progress, I think it will be my reward!

Good luck with your progress, I look forward to hearing more about it.
