We had a rough night on Tuesday. I think I tried to feed him on and off from 9pm - midnight. I had a little meltdown in that time frame and did not feel well at all. Tim finally made me go in to sleep at midnight and he sat up with him trying to get him to sleep. I found Tim sleeping on the couch and Mason in the swing (it was off) sleeping at 2:30. I went back out at 4 to switch with Tim so he could sleep in the bed and I could wake up with Mason. Looking back now I think that my milk came in that night - that is why I did not feel well.

I must say though after the doctors appointment I have noticed that he is eating well, I can hear him swallowing. He has also been doingm uch better with his wet/stool diapers. I think that my milk finally came in and now we are in business.
I am feeling better and better each day. I am trying to rest when he sleeps. My naps feel great, especially sleeping on my tummy :) I really did miss sleeping on it. Getting used to breast feeding is definitely a journey. There are ups and downs, but I am still amazed how my body and how it produces food for Mason. A woman's body is an amazing thing.
Well it is time to feed Mason again and I think I am going to nap with him after this feeding.

What a cutie! Glad to hear things are starting to go better with the feedings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing! He is precious! Congrats to you both!
