New Cookie Recipe & Snow

I have been up since before 6 this morning. I had a very difficulty time sleeping last night and getting comfortable. I woke up and got out of bed to check on the snow fall, it looked really nice this morning before it was touched. When I went to get back in bed I noticed that the dog was in my spot with her head on my pillow. That did not last long, it was chilly this morning and I wanted to get back in bed until my alarm went off at 7.
I took some photos this morning too. It you look closely you can see the birds in the trees. There were a whole slew of them flying around before I went to work.

************
Yesterday I mentioned the delicious cookies I made. Well here is my version of the recipe. You can find the original link here I wanted to simplify it a little with chocolate chips instead of chunks and I had just bought some walnuts (cost an arm and a leg I might add) so I used those as well.
I also got to use my new AirBake pans I got for Christmas

My Version of Diet Pepsi Chocolate Chip Cookies J

- 1 ¾ cup flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup butter at room temperature
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Diet Pepsi at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup Chocolate chips
- ½ chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Blended Flour and baking soda – set aside. Beat butter until smooth – roughly 2-3 minutes. Add the sugars and beat until creamy. Add egg, Diet Pepsi, & vanilla and beat for roughly 2 minutes until blended. Add flour mixture gradually and beat on low until combined.
Use a small ice cream scoop or a spoon and knife to make medium size round mounds on the baking sheet. Place them 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12 minutes, let cool then transfer to a cooling rack.

 Delicious!

After the cookies we attempted to catch up a little on our DVR. while we were watching tv, the animals decided it was bed time...

Then at some point they got on the same piece of furniture
Have a great night!
