Nice Surprise

This past week has been hectic. The county fair was this past week and not eating fair food was HARD! I ended up having ice cream both days I was there and cheese fries. I did notice that I held back on things that I would have normally wanted and gotten. I felt awful after the 2nd ice cream of the week and figured I had blown my weight loss for the week.

Sunday ended up being a rough day working in the 911 center. Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Irene hit upstate NY and VT hard. We were super busy and ate when people brought us things. I tried hard to make the right decisions but there came a point where I just did not care, I was so exhausted.

Side Note: Yes you can be mentally exhausted. I worked 12 hours in a chair at a desk talking on the phone and radios. I got home at 4 pm and took a shower because I felt dirty and I laid in bed for a couple hours. I was so exhausted, much like I would be if I walked a 10k or more. Hubby went to help with water rescues and standing by with the Rescue Squad, I wanted to go but I could not get up, my energy was gone. It was crazy.

Oh and on top of all that I had my monthly friend which left me craving all the sweet in the house.

So any hooo I went to my weigh in today just hoping I did not gain any weight. My weigh in partner came with me, she missed last week. I stepped on the scale... oh boy nervous!.. 208.6 OMG! WAHOO! That is 2.2 lbs done from last week for a total of 12 lbs lost so far!  Here is an updated picture of my weight watcher pocket guide:

I reached my 5% goal and I reached another 5lbs gone. I am proud of myself :)

A Month Into It

Well this is my 4 week mark. I felt great when I weighed in today. :) My weigh in buddy is away for the week so I had to go alone. EEK! I did great! I was so happy when she said 2 lbs lost. It was a rough week because Tim's aunt was visiting at a local lake for the week and we ate over there a lot and the food was not always that healthy, but I think I did pretty well with my choices. The only down side to today was that I am .2 away from the 10 lb mark.

Now that just gives me motivation for .2 lbs next week right? WRONG! I want at least 1.2 lbs so I hit my 5% lost mark. I am going to buckle down more this week than I have the last two weeks. I feel like with extra activities going on I have let my eating and recording what I eat slip a little. I think that the most important thing for me is to track every bite that goes in!

So I would like to say that I am proud of myself! I am proud that I was able to lose almost 10 lbs in 4 weeks. I am proud that I have stuck with this journey for 4 weeks and hope to stay this motivated for another 5 months. One thing I want to work on is my exercising... it is currently non-existent... I really need to get back into it! I plan on starting to walk again. I love walking outside or inside on the treadmill. I really need to get back into the routine was walking at least a 5k 5 times a week.

Week # 2

So this week I felt much better at the weigh in. Last week I just did not feel good and it showed in my weight. This week I got on the scale and it read 213.6 that means I am down 5.4 lbs this week. So it is a total of 7 lbs so far :)

I did much better this past week with my eating and exercising. I do need to start to exercise more. I cannot get into it though. I have been gardening and cleaning around the house to at least I am staying active.

1st Weigh In

Hello all!
So last night was my first weigh in and weight watchers meeting. My weigh in was 219.0 so a total of 1.6 lbs lost. I was a little disappointed but it is a start. I was not feeling well yesterday and I think I consumed too much water. I will strive for a better number next Monday. I enjoyed the meeting, I don't know if this makes sense but it made me feel better to see other people that are in the program and needing help. You learn new snacks too.

So I was grocery shopping the other day and I found Fun'da Middles.

So they are 4pts each according to the calculator and you do not need to put frosting on b/c it is already in the middle. I will say this, do not be afraid to put lots of filling in the middle. I thought I was putting too much in and ended up making 30 cupcakes with the filling. I ended up making a second box of cupcakes. I did not make these for the house, a couple co-workers just had birthdays. These are super easy and every loves them. They make vanilla with vanilla filling, chocolate with vanilla filling, and vanilla with chocolate filling.
